The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a really frustrating loss on Sunday afternoon. After jumping out to a 17-3 lead Customized Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys , the Eagles let the Tennessee Titans back into the game and eventually lost in overtime by a final score of 26 to 23. As a result, the Eagles are now 2-2 on the 2018 NFL season. There’s a lot of blame to go around. My question to you is: who do you blame most? Let’s look at some of the options.DOUG PEDERSONThe Eagles were a little uncharacteristically conservative at times. Small Balls Doug, if you will. Pederson made a number of questionable decisions. One of the worst ones was when he called a running play with Ajayi at 3rd-and-3 from the 10-yard line with 11 seconds remaining in the first half. After the game, Pederson said the thought process was to get a first down, call a timeout, and then take a shot. But the Eagles likely would’ve only had www.authenticsphiladelphiaeagles.com , what, five seconds left? They’d have to take the field goal anyway. Bad decision.OFFENSIVE LINEThe Eagles’ o-line did a good job blocking for the run game. Jay Ajayi and Wendell Smallwood combined for 109 yards on 20 carries (5.5 average). But pass protection was a different story. Carson Wentz was sacked four times and hit 11 times. Lane Johnson allowed a second-round rookie to strip-sack Wentz. Stefen Wisniewski got worked by Jurrell Casey a numbers of times. The Titans’ blitzes were an issue for a good portion of the game.JALEN MILLSMills bounced back against the Colts last week but he bounced back down again this week. He gave up a number of big plays. Wide receivers continue to make it look easy to get open against him by utilizing double moves. It feels like he bites every. single. time. Mills was penalized on a play that set the Titans up in goal-to-go territory after Philly went up 17-3. There have been calls for Rasul Douglas or Sidney Jones to replace Mills. The latter of those two players had a bad pass interference penalty on the final drive that wiped out an Eagles win. COREY GRAHAMGraham left Taywan Taylor wide open on 4th-and-15 in overtime. Kind of a big deal.JIM SCHWARTZThe Eagles were facing a less than 100% Mariota and still allowed the Titans to have their highest-scoring performance of the season. Schwartz’s defense continues to struggle on the road. And if you’re going to get mad at Mills, you also have to get mad at Schwartz because the Eagles defensive coordinator loves him.NELSON AGHOLORThe Eagles got pre-2017 Nelson Agholor today. Agholor dropped four passes and fumbled once. Unacceptable. He logged a mere 22 yards on five receptions for a paltry 4.4 average. OTHERAm I missing someone? Do you feel like it was a complete team loss? Feel free to vent in the comments....POLLEagles work out 7 free agent players, including Paxton Lynch The Philadelphia Eagles worked out seven free agents on Tuesday. Per Adam Caplan, the names include: quarterback Paxton Lynch, running backs Fitzgerald Toussaint and Martez Carter Philadelphia Eagles T-Shirt , wide receivers Breshad Perriman and Kamar Aiken and Shane Wynn, and linebacker Albert McClellan. Lynch is certainly the most attention-grabbing name from the group. The 2016 first-round pick flamed out in Denver and was waived by the Broncos during final cuts. The Eagles don’t need immediate quarterback help but they might have interest in a developmental/reclamation project. Their previous Christian Hackenberg signing indicated as much. The purpose of Aiken’s workout was to likely check up on his health status, since he missed the two games of the Eagles’ preseason schedule. Aiken’s agent tweeted that the veteran receiver will be re-signing with Philly. We talked about Perriman on Monday. The Eagles chose to sign Aiken instead of the 2015 first-round pick. Wynn, 25, has bounced around the league since entering the league as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2015. He’s pretty small at only 5-6, 166 pounds. Wynn has returning experience.Toussaint joined the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2014. There’s your Joe Douglas connection. Toussaint has appeared in 31 games over four seasons. He has 137 career rushing yards (3.1 average) and 69 receiving yards. Nice. Toussaint also has kick returning experience though he hasn’t really been good at that. Here’s a scouting report on Carter Philadelphia Eagles Hats , who is a rookie. It’s clear the Eagles are looking at some players with return ability.McClellan, another former Raven, is the oldest player from this group. The 32-year-old veteran spent time with Baltimore from 2010 through 2017. McClellan has 98 tackles and three sacks to his name. He’s carved out a career as a special teams contributor. For now, Aiken is the only player the Eagles are signing. We’ll soon see if they chose to make any more roster additions.
